Controversial British fashion designer Jess Eaton caused a stir when she revealed her second high-fashion collection in December made from cat fur, alpaca, seagull and goose feathers - and even a human ribcage.

Now this unusual, but stunning collection will be available for the public to see close up for the very first time as it is unveiled at the White Gallery in London.

The Brighton-based designer never pays for her materials and 'ethically sources' them from roadkill and animals that have died of natural causes (the human rib-cage was sourced from a university medical department),

She insists that no animals are ever harmed in the name of fashion but response to her two animal-based collections have been mixed.

Some believe the humane use of animals in fashion to be acceptable and point to the fact that her designs have been fitted with Roadkill Couture labels to help distinguish them from non-ethical animal wear, while others might maintain it propagates the use of animals for fashion, most of which will be killed specifically for this use.

She says: 'I never, ever kill animals for our designs and we wouldn’t accept anything that has been killed for the purpose of turning it into a fashion item. What I do is take these animals, once their natural lives are over and give them an endless afterlife.

The human rib cage used in the necklace, left, was obtained from a medical school, while animal products, like the feathers used in the collar, right, are mainly from roadkill

'We eat the meat from animals every day and then we throw away their bones and fur - it's all just waste.

'But when I take these parts of a dead animal and turn them into beautiful pieces of clothing that can be enjoyed for many years to come, it makes people question their feelings about what's acceptable.'

There would be no doubt that all eyes would be on the bride if she was sporting this huge bridal haedpiece

Eaton’s second collection introduced domestic animals and human bones into fashion and gained the respect and attention of Love Magazine who styled the pieces on Kate Moss.

The collection is loosely divided into four moods; Dark, Urban Culture, 1950’s Dior and Bridal.

The bridal wear uses the white feathers and whole wings of various birds to create headpieces inspired by the fairy stories and books that shaped her childhood.

Jess says that by using the animals after death she has given them 'eternal afterlife'
Jess will be unveiling her latest bridal designs this May with pieces designed exclusively for White Gallery London 2013 .

Commenting on the exhibition Jess said 'I'm thrilled about making my exciting debut at the White Gallery London and can't wait to unveil the beautiful and dramatic designs I am creating for the show.

'My exhibit draws inspiration from a range of dark and dramatic romantics like Tim Burton and Scarlett O'Hara and I have a spectacular centre piece planned as a big surprise for visitors.'

Jess launched her first roadkill designs in 2011 and her second collection will headline this year's Brighton Fashion Week. Her earlier designs included a cape made from squirrels, a rat fur jacket and a hat featuring the ears of a horse.

Both collections will be displayed in Battersea Evolution (Battersea Park) from 19-21 May 2013.
