Editor’s note: After reading our Hottest Women of Business article, a reader named Sarah challenged us to do a Hottest Men of Business article. So we challenged her back -> you write it, we’ll post it. She met her end of the bargain. And we’re meeting ours.

Some men are lucky enough to have it all: Success, looks, status, and money. Other men are just plain hot. We found the creme de la creme of hot businessmen to make up this list. Although not everyone is well known, each man is successful in both the business and looks departments. See which one of these studly biz hunks lights your fire.

25. Michael Lahyani

Call him Michael Lan-yummy. 27-year-old Michael Lahyani is the CEO of Swiss Media Group, now co-owned by Rupert Murdoch. He runs several magazines, including the equestrian magazine Equestrio, as well as a property site called propertyfinder.ae, one of the biggest in the United Arab Emirates.

24. Stavros Niarchos III

24-year-old Stavros Niarchos III, heir to a Greek shipping dynasty that once pitted his grandfather against Aristotle Onassis, is one sexy trustafarian. Reared in Paris, Niarchos went on to study film at the University of Southern California. There, he discovered the art of dating nubile young celebs and partying like…well, a Greek shipping heir. His female credits include Mary-Kate Olsen, Paris Hilton, and Lindsey Lohan. His destructive credits include crashing Paris Hilton’s Bentley and trashing a Las Vegas hotel room to the tune of $100,000. His business credentials are still budding—you can find him in kitesurfing magazines and DVDs, and in tabloids, cavorting with famous people—but his inheritance leaves him with little to worry about.

23. Vincent L. Sadusky

43-year-old Vincent L. Sadusky is President and CEO of the Rhode Island-based Lin TV Corporation, which runs 29 local and community TV stations across the country. Before that, he worked at Telemundo and Ernst & Young.

22. Matthew McCauley

Gymboree CEO Matthew McCauley is only 33 years old, but has successfully increased the publically-traded company’s sales more than 16%. He climbed the career ladder from other retailers, including Payless Shoe Source.

21. Anil Ambani

Anil Ambani, worth about $12.5 billion, chairs Reliance Communications, Reliance Energy, and Reliance Capital. Forbes listed this tycoon and heir as the third richest man in India http://www.forbes.com/lists/2008/77/indiarichest08_Anil-Ambani_VX6G.html. Although he has left several disputes and controversies in his wake, Ambani remains one of India’s most powerful, and best looking, men of business.

20. Marc Mathieu

French native March Mathieu keeps the Coca Cola brand innovative and successful. His accomplishments with the company include zero-calorie Coca Cola Zero, coffee-infused Coca-Cola Black, and the marketing campaign called “The Coke Side of Life.” He also speaks five languages and presents at conferences around the world.

19. Elliot Schrage

Elliot Schrage is Facebook’s Vice President of Communications and Public Policy. Schrage is trained in both business and law, allotting him previous positions with the Council of Foreign Relations, Gap, Inc., Google, and the business and law schools at Columbia University. His looks complement his diverse skill set nicely.

Filmmaker and photographer David LaChapelle has created hot music vids for Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Avril Lavigne, and other pop megastars. He himself is a photography megastar, dating back to the time Andy Warhol hired him to work at Interview magazine. He is also active in social causes, making him a hipster artist businessman with a heart. That is quite a palatable combination.

Stephen Colbert started as an understudy for Steve Carell (Second City Chicago), but has since become a powerhouse with a successful show of his own. Before the Colbert Show took off, Colbert co-developed two sketch comedy series and worked as a “correspondent” for Jon Stewart’s “The Daily Show.” Now, the Colbert report earns high ratings on Comedy Central and has been nominated for three Emmies. His 2006 book, “I am America (And So Can You!), was a New York Times bestseller. He also regularly pops up in other shows and films.

16. David C. Drummond

David Drummond is Google’s Chief Legal Officer, leading the company’s complex array of business development, government relations, partnerships, and other legal projects. 44-year-old Drummond previously managed intricate tech company legal proceedings through the firm Wilson Sonsini & Goodrich.

14. Jonathan Ive

Jonathan Ive is probably the best-known industrial designer that you don’t know about. Ive, the Senior Vice President of Industrial Design at Apple, created the designs of the iBook, PowerBook G4, iMac, iPhone, and the iPod. The latter two are probably the most famous—and most brilliant. He’s not designed badly himself. By the gene pool, that is.

He now appears on NPR’s News and Notes with Ed Gordon, co-hosts the Nashville talk show Freestyle, and acts around the country. He writes his name in lowercase letters to stay humble, but his looks and accomplishments indicate he should be anything but.

The chairman and CEO of Dell is also pleasing on the eyes. Michael Dell founded Dell Computer in 1984 with only $1,000. Today, he is a billionaire. He has also authored a book, founded a foundation and investment firm to manage his family’s massive wealth, and serves both on the World Economic Forum and for the United States President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.

7. Ashton Kutcher

Ashton Kutcher may have mastered the role of the brainless male bimbo, a la “That ‘70s Show” and “Dude, Where’s My Car?,” but this savvy actor also knows how to capitalize off his Hollywood fame. The show Punk’d, his own creation, ended up being wildly successful. Kutcher is also executive producer for WB’s “Beauty and the Geek” and ABC’s “Miss Guided.” New to his credits is “Pop Fiction” and the 2008 comedy “What Happens in Vegas.” Kutcher is on a role, and he won’t slow down anytime soon.

Richard Branson is the eccentric, arresting tour-de-force behind the ubiquitous Virgin brand. Starting with a record store in London, Branson went on to found the Virgin record label, the airline, the book publisher, the credit card, the train, the fitness club, the game reserve, and the space flight expedition. Fittingly, he also owns an island in—what else—the Virgin Islands, but he hasn’t purchased and branded them all. Yet.

Once word about his TV presence got out, he was able to start his own TV show, “The Naked Chef.” Jamie made high-end cooking hot, manly, and down-to-earth. He set up his own charity, the “Fifteen Foundation,” to train young professional chefs. The venture resulted in a successful book and TV series. He advocates for better food in British schools while maintaining his popular TV show.

2. David Beckham

British soccer sensation David Beckham joined the LA Galaxy team for $5.5 million, but nets more than $10 million through sponsorship revenues and merchandise. His sponsors include Armani, Pepsi, Motorola, and Adidas.

Fashion designer, Gucci revitalizer, and icon Tom Ford takes the cake as our hottest businessman. Ford came to Gucci in 1990 as a women’s wear designer. At a time when people wouldn’t have been caught dead wearing Gucci, Ford, then an unknown from the United States, revamped the entire brand, from store design to fragrances. Gucci’s sales increased 90% during Ford’s tenure; he took its value from nearly nothing to $4.3 billion. Ford later left Gucci and founded his own namesake fashion house. The Tom Ford line now sells men’s and women’s clothing and accessories in the United States, Europe, and Canada.
