UPDATE: Be sure to go past the jump, and see some incredible video, including images of the original Christ the Saviour Cathedral being demolished by Stalin. It was rebuilt after the fall of Soviet communism, and today ... well, look for yourself. That's an American Orthodox Christian there!

Hey, that's my Beatitude, up there on stage in Christ the Saviour Cathedral in Moscow with the Russian Patriarch Kyrill. Met. Jonah is visiting there for the next few days. That's a long way from standing in the Drehers' backyard in Old East Dallas blessing the chickens in their coop (which he actually did, the day after he returned to Dallas after being elected Metropolitan; charming man, we'd told him he didn't have to honor his promise to come to dinner, which he'd made before he went off to the synod that made him Metropolitan, but he insisted on living up to his word). Jonah's the guy with the beard. I mean, the guy with the beard who forgot to raise high his hands like Kyrill, probably because he's busy looking for some hens to bless:
