What is Globalization?

Question: What is the truest definition of Globalization?

Answer: Princess Diana's death

Question: How come?

Answer: An English princess with an Egyptian boyfriend crashes in a French tunnel, driving a German car with a Dutch engine, driven by a Belgian who was drunk on Scottish whisky, (check the bottle before you change the spelling) followed closely by Italian Paparazzi, on Japanese motorcycles; treated by an American doctor, using Brazilian medicines.

This is sent to you by an American (who lives in Italy for ten months a year), using Bill Gates's technology, and you're probably reading this on your computer, that uses Taiwanese chips, and a Korean monitor, assembled by Bangladeshi workers in a Singapore plant, transported by Indian lorry-drivers, hijacked by Indonesians, unloaded by Sicilian longshoremen, and trucked to you by Mexican illegals.....

That, my friends, is Globalization

This explains it all!

For years Doctors and scientists have told us that some food's are good for us only to be told later that they bad for us, and again they tell us that some food's are bad for us, and all the time they've been good for us and their doesn't seem to be much proof either way to suggest what is good or bad until now that is.

Remarkable Iraqi Statue

DO YOU  KNOW WHAT THIS IS?  OR WHERE THIS IS?

 THE STATUE

This statue currently stands outside the Iraqi  palace, now home to the 4th Infantry division.    It will eventually be shipped home and put in the memorial museum in Fort  Hood , Texas

The statue was created by an Iraqi artist named  Kalat, who for years was   forced by Saddam Hussein to make the many hundreds of bronze busts of Saddam that dotted Baghdad

Kalat was so grateful for the Americans liberation of his country;  he melted 3 of the heads of the  fallen Saddam and made the statue as a memorial to the American soldiers and their fallen warriors

Kalat worked on this memorial night and day for several months.

To the  left of the kneeling soldier is a  small Iraqi girl giving the soldier comfort  as he mourns the loss of his comrade in arms.

Do you know why we don't hear about this in  the news?   Because it is heart warming and praise worthy..

The media avoids it because it does not have the  shock effect.

5 Best Positions to Get Pregnant Fast

Getting pregnant maybe the easiest of all things, however, some couples do find it hard to conceive for several reasons, including weak or insufficient sperm count.

In some cases, as when nature needs a boost, a little push from you and your partner can go a long way in getting pregnant. When it comes to the best position to get pregnant, the general rule is that the male sperm must be deposited as near to the female cervix as possible.

This has something to do with the life spans of the female egg and the male sperm. Once an egg is released from the ovary – a stage also known as ovulation – it begins its path down the fallopian tube to the uterus. A released egg typically survives for only 24 hours, while a sperm can last anywhere from three to five days in the female body. As such, the egg has to be as close to the egg as possible so they can meet and join before the egg dies.

While not a lot of people will agree that the sexual positions have anything to do with getting pregnant, the logical inference is that it makes sense to assume the position that can help the sperm meet the egg in the shortest possible time.

This is especially true when for couples who have problems or difficulty conceiving. Having said this, the first "best position to get pregnant" tip is to avoid positions that least expose the cervix to the male sperm, and that generally defy gravity such as sex while standing up, sitting down, or with the woman on top. When trying to conceive, it is best to limit the amount of sperm that flows back out of the vagina.

The woman's hips should also be positioned in such a way that the sperm released is kept inside, giving it enough time to swim up to the female cervix.

Consider the following positions instead:

1. The missionary position. Or man-on-top is said to be the position that's best for getting pregnant. This is because this particular position allows for the deepest possible penetration, making it possible for the sperm to get deposited closest to the cervix.

2. Raise the hips. Elevating the hips, which can be done by placing a pillow behind her, can also be helpful because this exposes the female cervix to as much semen as the male can release.

3. Doggy-style. The rear-entry position where the man enters the woman from behind is also a recommended position. In this position, sperm is also deposited closest to the cervix, thereby helping increase the chances of conception.

4. Side-by-side. You can also try having intercourse while lying side by side. This position likewise causes the most exposure of the cervix to the male sperm.

5. Orgasms. Finally, while this has nothing to do with sexual positions, there are also researches that suggest the importance of the female orgasm in conceiving. According to studies, female orgasm leads to contractions that could push sperm up into the cervix. The lesson: have fun while trying to conceive.

Earthquake Explained

Earthquake explained so you can remember

It might be well to be a bit knowledgeable about earthquakes in case someone asks or wants to know more about them.  Since science was my chosen profession for 35 years, I might be a bit more able than most to explain it.
In hopes of a "knowing" society, I present this.

What's the difference between
an oscillatory and a trepidatory earthquake?

1. This calculation is just for engineers:

 2. And this one is for those ignorant --like you and me:

This is a trepidatory earthquake:

This is an oscillatory earthquake:

And this is a combination of both: (trepidatory and oscillatory)

Science is beautiful when it is well explained...

Self-confidence - John D. Rockefeller

The business executive was deep in debt and could see no way out. Creditors were closing in on him. Suppliers were demanding payment. He sat on the park bench, head in hands, wondering if anything could save his company from bankruptcy.

Suddenly an old man appeared before him. "I can see that something is troubling you," he said. After listening to the executive's woes, the old man said, "I believe I can help you."

He asked the man his name, wrote out a check, and pushed it into his hand saying, "Take this money. Meet me here exactly one year from today, and you can pay me back at that time." The business executive saw in his hand a check for $500,000, signed by John D. Rockefeller, then one of the richest men in the world!

"I can erase my money worries in an instant!" he realized. But instead, the executive decided to put the un-cashed check in his safe. Just knowing it was there might give him the strength to work out a way to save his business, he thought.

With renewed optimism, he negotiated better deals and extended terms of payment. He closed several big sales. Within a few months, he was out of debt and making money once again.

One year later, he returned to the park with the un-cashed check. At the agreed-upon time, the old man appeared. But just as the executive was about to hand back the check and share his success story, a nurse came running up and grabbed the old man.

"I'm so glad I caught him!" she cried. "I hope he hasn't been bothering you. He's always escaping from the home and telling people he's John D. Rockefeller."And she led the old man away.

The astonished executive just stood there, stunned. All year long he'd been wheeling and dealing, buying and selling, convinced he had half a million dollars behind him.

Suddenly, he realized that it wasn't the money that had turned his life around.

It was his newfound self-confidence that gave him the power to achieve anything he went after.

45 Important Lessons of Life

45 Important Lessons of Life (Written by a 90 year old woman)

This is something we should all read at least once a week!!!!! Make sure you read to the end!!!!!!

Written by Regina Brett, 90 years old, of the Plain Dealer, Cleveland , Ohio .

"To celebrate  growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most requested column I've ever written.

My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more:

1. Life isn't fair, but  it's still good.

2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.

3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.

5. Pay off your credit cards every month.

6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.

8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.

9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.

10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.

12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.

13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.

15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God never  blinks.

16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.

17. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.

18. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.

19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else.

20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.

21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.

22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.

23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.

24. The most important sex organ is the brain.

25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.

26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words 'In five years, will this matter?'

27. Always choose life.

28. Forgive everyone everything.

29. What other people think of you is none of your business.

30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.

31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

32. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

33. Believe in miracles.

34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.

35. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.

36. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young.

37. Your children get only one childhood.

38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.

39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.

40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.

41. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

42. The best is yet to come...

43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

44. Yield.

45. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift."

Its estimated 93% won't forward this.

If you are one of the 7% who will, forward this with the title '7%'.

I'm in the 7%. Friends are the family that we choose

The Choice is MINE

I welcome each new day, mine to use, to fill,
to live as I see fit.  How it unfolds is up to me.

I can be miserable, or I can have a great day.

I can doubt, or I can have Faith.

I can feel depressed, or I can express the Joy
that is inherent in me.

I can fear, or I can trust - myself, others or God.

I can complain about aches and pains or I can affirm
God's perfect gift of life within me.

I can dwell on loss, or I can seek new interests,
 new life in living.

I can criticize others, or I can accept and bless them
and enjoy happy and harmonious relationships.

I can Harbour old grudges, or I can forgive.

I can speak of lack, or I can affirm God's never
 failing supply.

I can give up, or I can make a fresh start.

I can go it alone, or I can depend on God.

Whom you will serve"

Curry, the new weapon in the war on Alzheimer’s

Eating a weekly curry can help prevent the onset of Alzheimer’s researchers claim.

It probably won’t be our main priority when deciding what takeaway to order.

But curries – so often criticised by advocates of healthy eating – may protect against Alzheimer’s disease.

Eating a curry two or three times a week could help prevent the onset of Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, an expert said yesterday.

According to Professor Murali Doraiswamy, the magic ingredient is curcumin, a component of the spice turmeric.

Curcumin prevents the spread of harmful amyloid plaques found in the brain of Alzheimer’s sufferers, he said.

These plaques are thought to play a key role in symptoms such as memory loss and mental impairment.

Professor Doraiswamy, who grew up in the southern Indian city of Madras, which is famous for its fiery curries, said: ‘There is very solid evidence that curcumin binds to plaques, and basic research on animals engineered to produce human amyloid plaques has shown benefits.

‘Turmeric has been studied not just in Alzheimer’s research but for a variety of conditions, such as cancer and arthritis.

Turmeric is often referred to as the spice of life in ancient Indian medical lore.’ A trial is under way at the University of California, Los Angeles, to test curcumin’s effects in Alzheimer’s patients and specifically on amyloid plaque proteins.
Scientists say the spices in curry, including curcumin, a component of the spice turmeric, can help memory

Scientists say the spices in curry, including curcumin, a component of the spice turmeric, can help memory

Similar research is about to start at Southampton University, although some British experts suggested that large amounts of curry would have to be eaten to counteract some of the brain changes that are characteristic of Alzheimer’s.

Professor Doraiswamy, of the Department of Psychiatry, at Duke University Medical Centre, in Durham, North Carolina, said human studies will build on laboratory research.

He told delegates at the Royal College of Psychiatrists‘ annual meeting in Liverpool: ‘You can modify a mouse so that at about 12 months its brain is riddled with plaques. If you feed the rodent a curcuminrich diet it dissolves these plaques.’

He added: ‘Studies looking at populations show that people who eat a curry meal two or three times a week seem to have a lower risk for dementia.’ Turmeric is also found in mustard and Professor Doraiswamy predicted a day when those unable, or unwilling, to eat curries might be advised to take a daily ‘curry pill’.

A Hilarious Mail from a frustrated victim of chain mails

I wanted to thank all my friends and family who have forwarded chain letters to me in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 and continuing it in 2009 also.......

Because of your kindness:

* I stopped drinking Coca Cola after I found out that it's good for removing toilet stains.

* I stopped going to the movies for fear of sitting on a needle infected with AIDS.

* Forwarded hundreds of mails but still waiting for FREE DESKTOP, LAPTOP, CAMERA, CELLPHONE etc…..

* I smell like a wet dog since I stopped using deodorants because they cause cancer...
* I don't leave my car in the parking lot or any other place and sometimes I even have to walk about 7 blocks for fear that someone will drug me with a perfume sample and try to rob me.

* I also stopped answering the phone for fear that they may ask me to dial a stupid number and then I get a phone bill with calls to Uganda, Pakistan, Singapore and Tokyo...

* I also stopped drinking anything out of a Can for fear that I will get sick from the rat faeces and urine.

* I also donated all my savings to the Amy Bruce account. A sick girl that was about to die in the hospital about 7,000 times.... (Poor girl! she's been 7 since 1993...)

* Still open to help somebody from Nigeria who wants to use my account to transfer his uncle's property of $ 100 million. So much trustworthy.
* I have forwarded 35 emails to 400 people hoping that Ericsson or Nokia will send me latest mobile phones but those models are also obsolete now.
* Made some Hundred wishes before forwarding those Ganesh , Tirupathi Balaji pics etc. Now most of those 'Wishes' are already married (to someone else)

NOW IMPORTANT NOTE :

If you do not send this e-mail to at least 11,246 people in the next 10 seconds, a bird will Pee on your head today at 6:30pm.

Nothing has happened till now......... ......... ..... but who knows. So please forward.

They are all TRUE
Now go back and think about #16 !

Ah, the innocence of children

Alas, where has all our innocence gone?

While I sat in the reception area
of my doctor's office, a woman rolled  an elderly man
in a wheelchair into the room.  As she went
to the receptionist's desk, the man sat there, alone
and silent. Just as I was thinking I should make
small talk with him, a little boy slipped off
his mother's lap and  walked over to
the wheelchair.  Placing his hand on the
man's, he said, I know how you feel.  My
mom makes me ride in the stroller too..'

*****

As I was nursing
              my baby, my cousin's six-year-old
daughter, Krissy, came into the room.
Never having seen anyone breast feed
before, she was intrigued and full of all
kinds of questions about what I was doing.
After mulling over my answers, she remarked,
'My mom has some of those, but I don't think she knows
              how to use them..'

*****

Out bicycling
              one day with my eight-year-old
granddaughter, Carolyn, I got a  little
wistful. 'In ten years,' I said, 'you'll want
to  be with your friends and you won't go
walking, biking, and  swimming with me like you do
now. Carolyn shrugged.  'In ten years you'll be
too old to do all those things  anyway.'

******

Working as a pediatric
nurse, I had the difficult assignment
of giving immunization shots to  children..
One day, I entered the examining room to give
four-year-old Lizzie her needle. 'No, no, no!' she
screamed.  'Lizzie,' scolded her mother, 'that's
not polite behavior.'  With that, the girl
yelled even  louder, 'No, thank you!  No, thank
              you!

******

On the way back from a Cub
Scout meeting, my grandson innocently said to my son,
'Dad, I know babies come from mommies' tummies, but
how do they get there in the first place?'  After my
son hemmed and hawed awhile,  my grandson finally
spoke up in disgust, 'You don't have to make
up something, Dad.  It's okay if you don't
              know the answer.'

*****

Just before I
was deployed to Iraq , I sat my eight-year-old
son down and broke the news to him.  'I'm
going to be away for a long time,' I told
him.  'I'm going to Iraq .'   'Why?' he
asked. 'Don't you know there's a war going
              on  over there?'

*****

Paul Newman
founded the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp for
children stricken with cancer, AIDS, and blood
diseases. One afternoon, he and is wife,
Joanne Woodward, stopped by to have lunch with
the kids.  A counselor at a nearby
              table, suspecting the young patients
wouldn't know Newman was a famous movie star,
explained, That's the man who made this camp
possible. Maybe you've seen his picture on
              his salad dressing bottle?'  Blank
stares.'Well, you've probably seen his face on
his lemonade carton.'  An eight-year-old girl
perked  up.  'How long was he missing?'

*****

God's  Problem Now
:

His wife's graveside
service was just barely finished, when  there was
a massive clap of thunder, followed by a tremendous
bolt of lightning, accompanied by even more thunder
rumbling in the distance.  The little, old man
looked at the  pastor and calmly said,
              'Well, she's there.

Numbers Related to Love

Of course I did not invent this magic relation between love and your birthday number, but if you believe them, why not.

To find your love attitude number, add your birth month and your birthdate together. Keep reducing it until it's a single digit.

Example:

January 28 1 + 28 = 29 2 + 9 = 11 1 + 1 = 2 ; you're 2.
November 20 11 + 20 = 31 3 + 1 = 4 ; then you're 4.

Read on below to find out what your love style is supposed to be.

One

You are charming imaginative and independent. Usually your style is ahead of others'; you know what's in and what's way out. Sometimes you're a little too aggressive when it comes to pursuing a love interest. You have a way of drawing attention wherever you go, and this dramatic flair usually attracts the strongest guys. Your competitive nature either draws or repels guys/gals... but those who can't handle your power aren't your types anyway. At times you can be possessive, manipulating and demanding with your friends and in love relationships. You like guys/gals with lots of intelligence. .. and knock-'em-dead good looks don't hurt either.

Two

Your love nature is sentimental, romantic and kind. Your easygoing, mild manner allows almost everyone to feel very comfortable with you-especially shy guys/gals. Your modesty and tact enable you to get along easily with both sexes. You are a natural peacemaker and can be very persuasive with words, which helps you to gain the respect of your classmates. You can also be too sensitive at times, and your greatest drawback is a lack of confidence to stand up for yourself in conflict. Your favorite type of guy is a gentle, affectionate one who is also strong and playful. A great sense of humor is also a must. A guy/gal who loves to listen to music and dance should rank high favorites too.

Three

You are imaginative, fun loving, thrill seeking and expressive. You're so charming that you attract many friends and you are almost never lacking guys/gals. In your earlier years, you maybe totally shy and lose those qualities in the high-school years. You can be sort of vain or even a bit of a show-off when you get caught up in exciting events in your life, but you usually redeem yourself in some playful way before you lose a friend.

Jealousy shows its ugly head sometimes, but generally you aren't it. In the guy department, you prefer the athletic or artistic types. You're in absolute heaven when you find both of those qualities in the same guy. When you're looking for love, a guy who can make you laugh scores points, big time!

Four

You tend to be loyal, dedicated and good-hearted. You're one of diligent students when you really try, and you tend to make your schoolwork a priority. You also express those same qualities in your love relationship. No one is more faithful and trusting than you are. In fact, those tendencies can be a little negative in your romantic life. You may sometimes hang on too long to a guy/gal who doesn't respect and love you deserve. You can be stubborn and a bit but you can usually dig yourself out of that hole just in time to stay out of major trouble. Usually fall for extremes when choosing a love mate-he/she may be a teacher's pet. Whatever the type, it helps if he/she is good-looking too, but that's not a major consideration for you.

Five

Your love attitude is adventurous, charismatic and spontaneous. You're creative and adaptable, and you can come up with the most exciting and sometimes daring things to do. Your quick intelligence and way with words help get you out of the problems that come with being flirtatious and playing hard to get. You need to pay your personal values because you love to try new and the crowd and the consequences can put extra strain on your relationship with a like guys who have great bodies and good looks, along with exceptional brain and high grades. It helps if they are highly athletic or involved in as many otherwise you might get bored! Variety is the key to your love attitude number.

Six

You are warm, loving, devoted and affectionate. Your outgoing, thoughtful nature attracts many girlfriends to you, and usually some of the nicest guys too. Because of your need to care, you can end up in a relationship that requires too much care taking to make it balanced. Since home and family play important roles in your life, you are unlikely to be attracted toguys/gals who your parents wouldn't like. Sometimes slight jealous streak...but it doesn't last long. Some people with this love attitude number are prone to making harsh judgements of others, especially values. You are especially attracted to the good looking, boy-next-door type who is smart as well as a gentleman.

Seven

Your love nature is thoughtful, poetic, mystical and mysterious. A few people with love attitude number seven are class clowns, and they usually attract guys/gals who like to be given a hard time. But most of you are the quiet, reserved types who dislike calling attention to yourself. Your type generally attracts guys who feel the same way you do. Your refined, independent and secretive nature is very alluring to certain can also be somewhat. Faultfinding and a little demanding in your love relationship and with friends. You are mostly attracted to guys/gals who aren't like all the rest; a loner easily attracts you. And, if he/she reads a lot and enjoys learning, he/she is especially perfect for you.

Eight

Your love attitude is confident, powerful and exciting. This number usually makes for a very conscientious student, someone who puts schoolwork ahead of a social life. However, you also enjoy being a leader among your classmates and will seek offices or other positions that enable you to use your can be somewhat intimidating to certain guys/gals. You can also be a little too intense, bossy and jealous for your own good. Your love match is definitely someone who is smart, handsome and popular. You like quality over quantity and will usually wait until the guy/gal with the best along.

Nine

You have a sophisticated attitude that is also generous and
considerate. Your responsible, charitable nature may find you attracting guys/gals who want someone to confide in or secure. At a very young age, you developed the type of personality that makes others feel safe and protected. You will into your adult years and, down the road, you'll be a good mom because of them.

On the negative side, you can be argumentative and overly emotional, and you usually possess a temper that can make everyone run for cover. You like the kind of guy/gal who is responsible and impeccably dressed and has gorgeous eyes and a great body. Charm, wit and (of course) brilliance could make him the perfect guy/gal for you.

Easy Eddie And Butch O'Hare

Two Stories BOTH TRUE - and worth reading!!!!

STORY NUMBER  ONE

Many years ago, Al Capone virtually owned Chicago . Capone wasn't famous for anything heroic. He was notorious for enmeshing the windy city in everything from bootlegged booze and prostitution to murder.

Capone had a lawyer nicknamed 'Easy Eddie.' He was Capone's lawyer for a good reason. Eddie was very good! In fact, Eddie's skill at legal maneuvering kept Big Al out of jail for a long time.

To show his appreciation, Capone paid him very well. Not only was the money big, but Eddie got special dividends, as well. For instance, he and his family occupied a fenced-in mansion with live-in help and all of the conveniences of the day. The estate was so large that it filled an entire Chicago City block.

Eddie lived the high life of the Chicago mob and gave little consideration to the atrocity that went on around him.

Eddie did have one soft spot, however. He had a son that he loved dearly. Eddie saw to it that his young son had clothes, cars, and a good education. Nothing was withheld. Price was no object.

And, despite his involvement with organized crime, Eddie even tried to teach him right from wrong.

Eddie wanted his son to be a better man than he was.

Yet, with all his wealth and influence, there were two things he couldn't give his son; he couldn't pass on a good name or a good example.

One day, Easy Eddie reached a difficult decision. He wanted to rectify wrongs he had done. He decided he would go to the authorities and tell the truth about Al 'Scarface' Capone, clean up his tarnished name, and offer his son some semblance of integrity. To do this, he would have to testify against The Mob, and he knew that the cost would be great. So, he testified.

Within the year, Easy Eddie's life ended in a blaze of gunfire on a lonely Chicago Street. But in his eyes, he had given his son the greatest gift he had to offer, at the greatest price he could ever pay. Police removed from his pockets a rosary, a crucifix, a religious medallion, and a poem clipped from a magazine.
The poem read:

'The clock of life is wound but once,

and no man has the power

to tell just when the hands will stop,

at late or early hour.

Now is the only time you own.

Live, love, toil with a will.

Place no faith in time.

For the clock may soon be still.'

STORY NUMBER  TWO

World War II produced many heroes. One such man was Lieutenant Commander Butch O'Hare USN.

He was a naval fighter pilot assigned to the aircraft carrier  Lexington in the South Pacific.

One day his entire squadron was sent on a mission. After he was airborne, he looked at his fuel gauge and realized that someone had forgotten to top off his fuel tank.

He would not have enough fuel to complete his mission and get back to his ship. His flight leader told him to return to the carrier. Reluctantly, he dropped out of formation and headed back to the fleet.

As he was returning to the mother ship, he saw something that turned his blood cold; a squadron of Japanese aircraft was speeding its way toward the American fleet.

The American fighters were gone on a sortie, and the fleet was all but defenseless. He couldn't reach his squadron and bring them back in time to save the fleet. Nor could he warn the fleet of the approaching danger. There was only one thing to do. He must somehow divert them from the  fleet.

Laying aside all thoughts of personal safety, he dove into the formation of Japanese planes. Wing-mounted 50 caliber's blazed as he charged in, attacking one surprised enemy plane and then another. Butch wove in and out of the now broken formation and fired at as many planes as possible until all his ammunition was finally spent.

Undaunted, he continued the assault. He dove at the planes, trying to clip a wing or tail in hopes of damaging as many enemy planes as possible, rendering them unfit to fly.

Finally, the exasperated Japanese squadron took off in another direction. Deeply relieved, Butch O'Hare and his tattered fighter limped back to the carrier. Upon arrival, he reported in and related the event surrounding his return. The film from the gun-camera mounted on his plane told the tale. It showed the extent of Butch's daring attempt to protect his fleet. He had, in fact, destroyed five enemy aircraft.

This took place on February 20, 1942, and for that action Butch became the Navy's first Ace of W.W.II, and the first Naval Aviator to win the Congressional Medal of Honor.

A year later Butch was killed in aerial combat at the age of 29. His home town would not allow the memory of this WW II hero to fade, and today, O'Hare Airport in    Chicago is named in tribute to the courage of this great man.

So, the next time you find yourself at O'Hare International, give some thought to visiting Butch's memorial displaying his statue and his Medal of Honor. It's located between Terminals 1 and 2.

SO WHAT DO THESE TWO STORIES HAVE TO DO WITH EACH OTHER?

Best Places You've Never Heard Of: Shangri-La, China

Best Places You've Never Heard Of: Shangri-La, China
The Traveler: Christian Pucher, development director for Six Senses Resorts & Spas, a Bangkok–based hotelier known for its high-end eco-resorts in pristine locales. Pucher leaves home every other week to identify sites for future properties in remote parts of Asia and the Middle East.

The Place: Few places evoke paradise like the mythical Shangri-La, the mountainous valley depicted in James Hilton's 1933 novel, Lost Horizon. And that's just what Pucher found when he encountered the northwestern area of China's Yunnan province, which borders Tibet and was renamed Shangri-La in 2001 for its natural beauty. The Swiss native is no novice when it comes to mountains, but the snowcapped peaks, Alpine lakes, and deep gorges of the Tibetan Plateau were unlike anything he'd ever imagined. "I was in absolute awe," he says. "Mountains of up to 22,000 feet would rise and drop into valleys of 6,000 feet or more. The roads crossed some of the most beautiful landscapes I had ever seen. It created a very serene and peaceful feeling."

Best Places You've Never Heard Of: Havelock, New Zealand

Best Places You've Never Heard Of: Havelock, New Zealand
The Traveler: Leon Logothetis, a London broker who jumped ship at the chance to work for the Discovery Channel show Destination Future. The experience inspired his own show, Amazing Adventures of a Nobody, which cataloged his super-frugal adventures from New York to L.A. and from Paris to Moscow.

The Place: Havelock — with less than 500 residents — sits at the head of the wide, startlingly clear Pelorus Sound, and a boat or kayak boarded at the marina leads to winding waterways where dolphins jump from the water and dark-green mountains jut steeply into the air around every turn. First populated by gold miners and timber workers, Havelock's tiny downtown is chockablock with cute two-story colonial buildings that now house galleries and restaurants. "Both the North and South Islands of New Zealand are filled with dreamlike scenery and picturesque little towns," says Logothetis. "But of all of them, Havelock is my favorite. It's just this little slice of heaven, with great food, super-friendly people, and an amazing setting."

Best Places You've Never Heard Of: Heimaey, Iceland

Best Places You've Never Heard Of: Heimaey, Iceland
The Traveler: Andrew Zimmern, host of Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern, a Travel Channel series devoted to exploring local cuisines that keeps Zimmern globe trotting for about 30 weeks each year.

The Place: When your specialty is bizarre food, your travels take you well beyond the world's slick capitals and posh restaurants. It's the off-the-beaten- path spots that hold the most promise for Zimmern. One of his recent favorites is the Westman Islands, off the south coast of Iceland. "Most people who go to Iceland stay in Reykjavík, and if they leave, it's to do a one-day excursion somewhere north of the city," he says. So naturally, when he set out to shoot a recent TV episode, Zimmern took his crew south. "I wanted to connect with the real Iceland," he says. When he landed on Heimaey, the only inhabited island in the wild volcanic archipelago, the first thing Zimmern noticed was the locals. "They look like they just stepped off a Norse boat!" he says. In fact, the 15 islands are named not for the Norse settlers but for the Irish they enslaved; the Norse referred to the Irish as Vestmenn, or Westmen. Heimaey's roughly 5,000 inhabitants are still mostly a mix of Norse and Celtic descendants.

Muslims interpret the teachings of Mohammed incorrectly ??

THE CANADIAN CONTENT APPEARS AT THE END OF THE ARTICLE AND IS MEANINGFUL TO SAY THE LEAST.

This pilot 'hit the nail' right on the head in his open letter.

The paper stated that some Muslim doctor is saying we are profiling him because he has been checked three times while getting on an airplane

The following is a letter from a pilot. This well spoken man, who is a pilot with American Airlines, says what is in his heart, beautifully. ...

'YOU WORRY ME!'  By American Airlines Pilot - Captain John Maniscalco
I've been trying to say this since 911, but you worry me.  I wish you didn't.  I wish when I walked down the streets of this country that I love, that your color and culture still blended with the beautiful human landscape we enjoy in this country.  But you don't blend in anymore.  I notice you, and it worries me.

I notice you because I can't help it anymore. People from your homelands, professing to be Muslims, have been attacking and killing my fellow citizens and our friends for more than 20 years now.  I don't fully understand their grievances and hate, but I know that nothing can justify the inhumanity of their attacks.

On September 11, ARAB-MUSLIMS hijacked four jetliners in my country.  They cut the throats of women in front of children and brutally stabbed to death others. They took control of those planes and crashed them into buildings killing thousands of proud fathers, loving sons, wise grandparents, elegant daughters, best friends, favorite coaches, fearless public servants, and children's mothers.
The Palestinians celebrated, the Iraqis were overjoyed as was most of the Arab world.  So, I notice you now. I don't want to be worried.  I don't want to be consumed by the same rage and hate and prejudice that has destroyed the soul of these terrorists  But I need your help.  As a rational American, trying to protect my country and family in an irrational and unsafe world, I must know how to tell the difference between you, and the Arab/Muslim terrorist.

How do I differentiate between the true Arab/Muslim Americans and the Arab/Muslim terrorists in our communities who are attending our schools, enjoying our parks, and living in OUR communities under the protection of OUR constitution, while they plot the next attack that will slaughter these same good neighbors and children?

The events of September 11th changed the answer.  It is not my responsibility to determine which of you embraces our great country, with ALL of its religions, with ALL of its different citizens, with all of its faults.  It is time for every Arab/Muslim in this country to determine it for me.
I want to know, I demand to know, and I have a right to know, whether or not you love America.  Do you pledge allegiance to its flag?  Do you proudly display it in front of your house, or on your car?  Do you pray in your many daily prayers that Allah will bless this nation, that He will protect and prosper it?  Or do you pray that Allah with destroy it in one of your Jihad's? Are you thankful for the freedom that only this nation affords?  A freedom that was paid for by the blood of hundreds of thousands of patriots who gave their lives for this country?  Are you willing to preserve this freedom by also paying the ultimate sacrifice?  Do you love America ?  If this is your commitment, then I need YOU to start letting ME know about it.

Your Muslim leaders in this nation should be flooding the media at this time with hard facts on your faith, and what hard actions you are taking as a community and as a religion to protect the United States of America.  Please, no more benign overtures of regret for the death of the innocent because I worry about who you regard as innocent. No more benign overtures of condemnation for the unprovoked attacks because I worry about what is unprovoked to you.  I am not interested in any more sympathy.  I am only interested in action.  What will you do for America - our great country - at this time of crisis, at this time of war?

I want to see Arab-Muslims waving the AMERICAN flag in the streets.  I want to hear you chanting 'Allah Bless America '  I want to see young Arab/Muslim men enlisting in the military. I want to see a commitment of money, time, and emotion to the victims of this butchering and to this nation as a whole.

The FBI has a list of over 400 people they want to talk to regarding the WTC attack. Many of these people live and socialize right now in Muslim communities.  You know them.
You know where they are.  Hand them over to us, now!  But I have seen little even approaching this sort of action.  Instead I have seen an already closed and secretive community close even tighter.  You have disappeared from the streets.  You have posted armed security guards at your facilities.  You have threatened lawsuits.  You have screamed for protection from reprisals.

The very few Arab/Muslim representatives that HAVE appeared in the media were defensive and equivocating.  They seemed more concerned with making sure that the United States proves who was responsible before taking action.  They seemed more concerned with protecting their fellow Muslims from violence directed towards them in the United States and abroad than they did with supporting our country and denouncing 'leaders' like Khadafi, Hussein, Farrakhan, and Arafat.

If the true teachings of Islam proclaim tolerance and peace and love for all people, then I want chapter and verse from the Koran and statements from popular Muslim leaders to back it up.  What good is it if the teachings in the Koran are good, and pure, and true, when your 'leaders' are teaching fanatical interpretations, terrorism, and intolerance?  It matters little how good Islam SHOULD BE if huge numbers of the world's Muslims interpret the teachings of Mohammed incorrectly and adhere to a degenerative form of the religion.  A form that has been demonstrated to us over and over again.  A form whose structure is built upon a foundation of violence, death, and suicide.  A form whose members are recruited from the prisons around the world.  A form whose members (some as young as five years old) are seen day after day, week in and week out, year after year, marching in the streets around the world, burning effigies of our presidents, burning the American flag, shooting weapons into the air.  A form whose members convert from a peaceful religion, only to take up arms against the great United States of America, the country of their birth.  A form whose rules are so twisted, that their traveling members refuse to show their faces at airport security checkpoints, in the name of Islam.

We will NEVER allow the attacks of September 11, or any others for that matter, to take away that which is so precious to us:  Our rights under the greatest constitution in the world.  I want to know where every Arab Muslim in this country stands and I think it is my right and the right of every true citizen of this country to demand it.  A right paid for by the blood of thousands of my brothers and sisters who died protecting the very constitution that is protecting you and your family.
I am pleading with you to let me know.  I want you here as my brother, my neighbor, my friend, as a fellow American. But there can be no gray areas or ambivalence regarding your allegiance, and it is up to YOU, to show ME, where YOU stand. Until then.
'YOU WORRY  ME!'

CANADIAN COMMENTS:

Canadians should agree with this sentiment  and forget all about the 'political correctness' mandate we've had rammed down our throats, and see if this doesn't ring true in your heart and mind.  For Canada, with all the multiculturism we've been told is so important... .why should we not, as Canadians, expect that the millions of new people immigrating to our country will show their love for our country, their allegiance to our country, their willingness to obey the laws of our country, and acceptance that we are a Christian country?  Just because they are able to enjoy exercising their own religion, they should not expect us to be ashamed of ours. They knew Canada was a Christian country when they came here. Why are we erasing Christianity because immigrants who are unwilling to adopt our way of life expect us to?  There is just too much insanity in the world, and we have to start taking a stand.

I hope you will forward, so others will feel they are not alone if they are starting to feel the same.

THIS IS TOO GOOD TO JUST READ AND DELETE.... LET'S SATURATE NEW ZEALAND, AUSTRALIA, THE USA AND CANADA WITH THIS ONE!

Dress Code in Aceh, Indonesia

INDONESIA  Less skin, more skirts  New dress code forces Muslim women to give up pants, jeans  Fakhrurradzie Gade, The Associated Press  MEULABOH, Indonesia — Authorities in a devoutly Islamic district of Indonesia’s Aceh province have distributed 20,000 long skirts as a   regulation banning Muslim women from wearing revealing clothing took effect Thursday.  The long skirts are to be given to Muslim women caught violating the dress code during a two-month campaign to enforce the regulation, said   Ramli Mansur, head of the West Aceh district. Islamic police will determine whether a woman’s clothing violates the dress code.
During raids Thursday, Islamic   police caught 18 women traveling on motorbikes who were wearing traditional headscarves but also were dressed in pants. Each woman   was given a long skirt, and her pants were confiscated.
They were released from police custody after giving their identities and receiving advice from Islamic preachers.
“I am not wearing sexy outfits, but they caught me like a terrorist   only because of my jeans,” said Imma, a 40-year-old homemaker who uses only one name.
She said that wearing jeans is more comfortable   when she travels by motorbike.
Motorbikes are commonly used by both men and women in Indonesia.
Mansur said that any shopkeepers caught violating restrictions on selling short skirts and jeans would face a revocation of their business licenses.
The regulation is the latest effort to promote strict moral values in the world’s most   populous Muslim-majority nation, where most of the roughly 200 million Muslims practice a moderate form of the faith.
Rights groups say the regulation violates international treaties and the Indonesian Constitution.
Aceh, a semiautonomous region, made news last year when its provincial parliament passed Islamic law, or sharia, making adultery punishable   by stoning to death. It also has imposed prison sentences and public lashings for gays and pedophiles.
Islamic law is not enforced across the vast island nation. But bans on drinking alcohol, gambling and kissing in public, among other activities, have been enforced by conservative local governments

Why are they powerful?   why are Muslims powerless?
Here's another reason. We have lost the capacity to produce knowledge.

o  In the entire Muslim World (57 Muslim Countries) there are only 500 universities.
o  In USA alone, 5,758 universities
o  In India alone, 8,407 universities
o  Not one university in the entire Islamic World features in the Top 500 Ranking Universities of the World
o  Literacy in the Christian World  90%
o  Literacy in the Muslim World     40%
 o  15 Christian majority-countries, literacy rate 100%
 o  Muslim majority - countries ,       None
o  98% in Christian countries completed primary
o  Only 50% in Muslim countries completed primary.
o  40% in Christian countries attended university
o  In Muslim countries a dismal 2% attended.
o  Muslim majority countries have 230 scientists per one million Muslims
o  The USA has 5000 per million
o  The Christian world 1000 technicians per million.
o  Entire Arab World only 50 technicians per million.
o  Muslim World spends on research/developmen t 0.2% of GDP
o  Christian World spends 5 % of GDP

Conclusion. o  The Muslim World lacks the capacity to produce knowledge.

Another way of testing the degree of knowledge is the degree of diffusing knowledge.

o   Pakistan 23 daily newspapers per 1000 citizens
 o   Singapore 460 per 1000 citizens.
o  In UK book titles per million is 2000
o  In Egypt book titles per million is only 17

Conclusion.
o  Muslim World is failing to diffuse knowledge

Applying Knowledge is another such test.
o  Exports of high tech products from   Pakistan is 0.9% of its exports.

o  In Saudi Arabia is 0.2%
 o   Kuwait , Morocco and Algeria 0.3%
 o   Singapore alone is 68%

Conclusion. o  Muslim World is failing to apply knowledge.

 What do you conclude?
no need to tell the figures are speaking themselves very loudly we are unable to listen

Advice:
Please educate yourself and your children. always promote education, don't compromise on it, don't ignore your children's slightest misguidance from education (and please, for God's Sake, don't use your personal contacts or sources to promote your children in their education; if they fail, let them and make them learn to pass; b/c if they can't do it now, they can't ever).
We are World's biggest and strongest nation, all we need is to identify and explore our ownselves. Our victory is with our knowledge, our creativity, our literacy...And nothing else.
....Wake up...
