After 14 gruelling days of court hearing (and dominating local news headlines), it is, perhaps, safe to say that by now, there isn’t anyone here who doesn’t know about former Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) chief Ng Boon Gay and his “part-time lover” Cecilia Sue.
Although, we still don’t know for sure who’s telling the truth at this point.
Ng, 46, has been charged with four counts of obtaining oral sex from the 36-year-old former sales rep in exchange for helping to further her employers' business interests. Both are married and have their own families.
It is almost impossible to cover the conflicting accounts of both parties in this brief space but in short, Sue has claimed in court that she had been forced into giving oral sex to Ng, contradicting her earlier CPIB statements that she loved him, while Ng had maintained otherwise – that she was “clearly a willing party” in the alleged 20-30 times they had oral sex during their three-year extramarital affair. He also insisted that there was no conflict of interest when he approved the two IT projects in question as CNB’s Director.
Intimate (and puzzling) text messages shared between the two were also revealed in court at one point:
Sue: “MU (Miss you)”
Sue: “You ignore me. How? How? How?”
Sue: “Do you DIY?”
Sue: “Sad sad can we turn back the clock?”
Ng: “Back to Great World City time.”
The pair allegedly had sex once at a service apartment in Great World City in 2009, which led to a pregnancy scare in 2010.
