Kanye West proposes marriage

Kanye West has certainly been through the wringer with the most recent frustrating issue being his clash with paparzzi at the Los Angeles International Airport last week.

People Magazine has however reported news of a glimmer of light for West, as they say the top rapper/producer has asked his girlfriend, Alexis to marry him.

The magazine cited sources close to West informed them of the marriage proposal to Alexis, who was his girlfriend before his October 2002 near-fatal car crash.

No comment is being made from West’s camp about the proposal. The former Roc-a-Fella producer who rose to fame by his great work – especially following Jay-Z’s album “Blueprint” has never been married.

Inspired by the very serious 2002 car accident, West came forth in 2004 with “The College Dropout” album that featured the single “Through The Wire.” It earned him Grammy awards for best rap album and best rap song.

The upcoming felony rap - for smashing paparazzi cameras - facing West may be avoidable, as reports today explain that his having destroyed only a shooter’s lighting ring worth US$100, sheds a different light on the felony vandalism charges that can only be filed for destroyed property valued at more than US$400. West’s charges could be reduced to a misdemeanor.
