Superman For SALE !!!

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's a remote-controlled Superman soaring around California's Pacific coast (of course)

Christopher Reeve as Superman in the 1978 original. A radio controlled version has now been seen flying around California

A custom-made remote-controlled Superman has been attracting attention across California.

The high-flying replica of everyone's favourite lycra-clad hero was spotted zipping through the sky above the Pacific Coast Highway, which runs from Dana Point in Orange County to Leggett in Mendocino County.

Passerby Kyle Gough was cycling with a friend in Carlsbad when the superhero flew by. He quickly reached for his phone and began filming, and the resulting footage is now going viral on YouTube.

Gough said: 'During our casual conversation, Superman flew by. We stopped, got off our bikes just in time to watch him land.

'After a quick battery change, I grabbed the only thing I had on me and took some video of what is easily the coolest custom RC plane I've ever seen. Damn near life-size and complete with a cape.'

Smaller versions of this kind of flying Superman have been released previously, but the human scale and realistic shape of this version, along with its super-hero cape and branding are arguably the most convincing.

The unit flies quickly with the positioning of Superman’s arms giving the flight aesthetic an aerodynamic feel.

Hopefully its owner knows to keep it away strong winds, for they are his kryptonite.
