China Ministry of Railways says passenger trains in China has broken the world speed record. In a test of speed, the train had sped with the speed of 486km per hour.
Chinese news agency Xinhua said the speed test was conducted today on a new path that has not operated. Pathway linking two major cities, Beijing and Shanghai. Line is scheduled to operate in 2012 and will shorten travel time to only five hours.
China's national television also showed how the train slender white is through farm fields.
This fast train project is one giant step connects the cities in China with fast transport. The project also aims to reduce the density in lines that had been used.
